About BRITTA

BRITTA is an Ecuadorian singer, songwriter, and music producer based in Los Angeles. Her sound blends Latin American folklore with alternative pop, drawing inspiration from Andean music, cumbia, and bossa nova.

Music has been part of BRITTA’s life since childhood. She started singing as soon as she learned to speak, and at nine years old, her father taught her how to write songs. She hasn’t stopped writing since. She later taught herself to read sheet music using her mother’s hymnal, learned to play guitar, and attended a music school in a small town in the Ecuadorian Amazon, where she developed a deeper connection with her musicality.

Her journey eventually took her to New York City, where she received a professional singer scholarship through the Tu Experiencia Broadway program and released her debut single, “Leerte la Mente.” During this time, she also began exploring her artistic identity more deeply. She later moved to Los Angeles, where she is currently studying songwriting and music production at California College of Music.

Although singing was her first connection to music, production has become one of her greatest passions. Driven by a desire for creative independence and the freedom to bring her ideas to life, BRITTA began producing her own music.

Living outside Ecuador has strengthened her connection to her cultural roots and inspired her to share them with the world. Through her music, she explores Latin American folklore and the cultural fusion that shapes the region’s identity, bringing ancestral knowledge and traditional sounds into conversation with contemporary music.
